When Chu-e rolled up, he was in his same strawberry FIT as earlier.

Raising his hand, a kind smile was given to his opponent. "Hey! I'm Ji-Hoon! Let's have a nice battle, ye?"

So far he had been forced to use some of his fully evolved, beefed up pokemon for this competition. But, seeing the pokemon that mason moore had, Chu-e could breathe out a sign of relief. Other than his more nefarious Rocket related reasons he had been hoping to to train up some of his younger and less experienced pokemon.

A Purrloin and a Snom were thrown out.

"You can have first move!"

     Mason was a bit taken aback when he was given that kind smile and introduction of a name, despite being extremely shy he mustered with a courage, though his voice was a little bit cracky at the start of his sentence, ”Y-Yes! I-Im Mason!”. He hoped he didn’t embarrass himself with that, though he didn’t have the time to think about that, he must focus on the battle.

     Being given the clearance to start first, Mason didn’t hesitate any further. ”Vesty use Ember on the Snom! Twiggy distract the Purrloin with a tackle!” the two Pokemon did as instructed. The Larvesta’s five red horns released a flame on each of its tips before he shot a flame from its mouth towards the Snom. Whereas the Turtwig were already charging at the Purrloin with his whole body.

     Mason clenched both of his fists as he eagerly watched his Pokemon and his opponent’s, observing what his opponent would do, he might learn a thing or two.

Chu-e Choi

Out of habit, Chu-e snapped his fingers to attack. Pepper, the Purrloin, did seem to react a bit but seemed more confused than anything. Bubble, the Snom, didn't react at all. Right. These pokemon hadn't been trained well. They didn't know about Chu-e's nasty little tricks and tells just yet. Looks like he was going verbal for this one.

Before he could say too much, at being attacked directly, Bubbles squeaked and suddenly POOF- a Snom shaped plushie was in place. The Substitute would keep Bubbles from taking the Ember... for now.

Chu-e sighed a bit.

"You're both doing good, Pepper, try a Fury Swipes!"

The Tackle did land, slamming into the Purrloin and making the feline huff. Doing as he was told, he tried to frantically claw with his paws at the Turtwig.

Mason was very intrigued when he saw Ji-Hoon snapped his fingers. A plethora of questions grew in his head, like what was the purpose of the snapping and could trainers really instruct their Pokemon by only using such simple gesture? He wondered if he could one day pull something like that in the future with his Pokemon.

He clicked his tongue when the Snom avoided the attack by using a decoy. Though the Purrloin didn’t do anything towards the incoming charge from Twiggy. Though the Purrloin managed to scratch Twiggy in return, ”Twiggy retreat and use Razor Leaf from the distance! Vesty use Flame Charge on the doll!” Mason instructed. The Turtwig jumped back, creating a distance between him and the opponents. He lifted his front body up and began to swung his head downwards, whereas the Larvesta cloaked itself in flames and charged towards the Snom’s substitute. While the Larvesta was charging at the Snom plushie, he was accidentally hit by the Turtwig’s razor leaf. It seemed like the Turtwig was bad at aiming his razor leaf, and it scattered throughout the battlefield, spreading it towards half the arena, reducing the damage dealt to any that was hit by it.

”Vesty!” he shouted, worried about his Pokemon. But the Pokemon seemed to be less than scathed, and that was when Mason remembered that Vesty was both a bug-type and a fire-type. Grass-type moves won’t deal that much to him. A relief can be seen washed across his face. The Turtwig though looked back with guilty eyes, ”It’s okay Twiggy, we can train your aim!”

Chu-e Choi

Before the Razor Leaves could do too much damage to the doll, a mirror-like shield was popped in front of it. It took one or two of the blades before shimmering. Then, it echoed back the attack, a Mirror Coat boosted Razor Leaf flying at the Turtwig and Larvesta.

Sadly, the Mirror couldn't stand up to the flame charge, shattering when it was hit. The doll was knocked away and rolled on it's side, burned and blackened but still intact. For now.

"Try a Double Team, Pepper!" He would need to scold his Snom later for using moves without instruction.

The Purrloin, however, did as he was told. After a second of concentrating a few copies of the feline were next to him, all of them hopping around and moving in sync to confuse.

It was painfully obvious that the Turtwig by the many Purrloin appearing. He grew too anxious about it that he blindly used tackle on one of the clones. Mason flinched at the sight of this. He knew his Pokemon were still new to battle but Twiggy shouldn’t have made a move without waiting for his trainer’s orders. Mason would have to train his Pokemon more after this.

”Twiggy watch out!” he cried out, more worried than anything.

Some of the leaves that were reflected by the Mirror Coat hits the Larvesta instead. But he didn’t mind, grass type moves are at most annoying to the Larvesta. Despite being worried for his Turtwig, his other Pokemon was still battling.

”Vesty use String Shot!” the Larvesta immediately did as told, shooting threads of silk at the Snom.

One of the clones petered out from the attack. The String Shot spluttered dully on the doll, not quite burned away yet. Soon it would be gone and the Snom couldn't hide behind it any longer.

"Try out a Night Slash, Pepper!"

The kitten pokemon surged forward, claws extended and stained dark with energy, aiming for the Turtwig.

"Bubble, use a Powder Snow!" The Snom hoped down from behind Chu-e's leg, where he had been 'hiding' while his Substitute was in play. The worm pokemon whined before breathing out a breath of breeze of snow at both opponents.

The String Shot hit just as intended, but Turtwig seemed to be in a really rough spot. He easily got hit by the Purrloin’s Night Slash due to how he was positioned. Twiggy was hurled across the ground from the hit. Anyone could tell that the Pokemon won’t be able to battle any soon.

The Powder Snow managed to hit both of Mason’s Pokemon, and Twiggy were knocked out afterwards. ”Oh no…”, Mason returned his Turtwig back into the Poke Ball. ”Get some rest Twiggy,” he muttered.

It was then a 1v2, but the Larvesta didn’t seem to mind this. In fact, the fuzzy bug Pokemon was not bothered by the Powder Snow as much as Twiggy. He was a fire type Pokemon after all. Without any commands from Mason, the Larvesta charged at the Snom’s Substitute with flames cloaked all over his body.

The Substitute had burned up last round so now the Larvesta was just charging at the Snom himself.

The little pokemon squeaked before being hit and dramatically falling over. He was burned and teared up at the pain... so Chu-e went ahead and called him back. This battle was now a 1v1.

Pepper still got an attack, though. Narrowing his eyes at the Larvesta he shook his haunches to ready himself.

"Fury Swipes again, Pepper!" Charging forward at the command, the kitten tried to swipe his claws at the Larvesta.
